Apartment Review for Archstone Newport Village - Alexandria, VA

I moved to this apartment from out of state, the leasing office told us that dogs were ok, we even told them we had 2. They even went on to waive the pet fee ($650) One month later, they told us that we must get rid of the dogs or move out. The leasing agent we initially spoke to denied EVER telling us that our medium sized dogs were ok to have in the apartment!!! She even denied waiving the pet fee and acted as if I tried to keep my dogs a secret from her!!! I am angry that they were not straight forward with us from the beginning and all would have been forgiven... if that bitch would just admit that she did say all those things to us! Also, our toilet broke and no one came to fix it for 4 days!!! When I called for maintenance(during office hours), they told me that was NOT an urgent call so that it would have to wait!! Mind you that was our only bathroom!!! People in this building play loud music every weekend and strange smells always eminating from the hallways. Most of all, they are always doing "repairs" of some sort....EVERY WEEK!!!! One week it's this, next week thay are shutting off electricity...you get no peace! Mainly, it's the management, they have made one too many mistakes, genrally incompetent and simply RUDE!!! Go elsewhere unless you enjoy being disturbed.
