Apartment Review for Archstone Newport Village - Alexandria, VA

I've lived here for about four years and have been perfectly happy. Any problems I've had have been fixed within a day or two, the staff is super friendly and nice to me... there are no holes in my apartment or leaky ceilings - in fact, it looks really nice, much nicer than a lot of my other friends who graduated college a few years ago and are still living in apartments. I will admit that the walls are thin and we do hear walking around upstairs and TVs from time to time, but it doesn't bother me too much unless the dog upstairs starts to go nuts, which is rare.... I'd definitely recommend this apartment. The other horror stories I read on this site sound crazy and I can't even believe them to be true. As for utilities, they do take one reading, but they divide the amoune by the square footage of your apaprtment and how many people live in it. So when I lived alone, I was charged less than the two guys that live next door. Not the best design, but it works. All utilities only end up being about $130 a month and that is for electric, gas, water, and sewage, etc... Seriously, not that bad of a place.
