Simple Vintage Apt Living
Review Date: 7/29/2007 Reviewer: Anonymous
I have lived here three years, and I would choose to live here again. This place is generally private and quiet; Simple, secure living. As for the interior and landlords...They are generally helpful, but tend to be oblivous about bug problems etc. Whenver I have a problem though they fix it right away-no questions asked. From what I hear, most every apartment and restaraunt in this city, including newly built ones have a bug problem. It is really hard to rid the apartments of them. So its basically a matter of how much you want to spend on rent if you cannot deal with a few now and then. It's sounds terrible, but its true. Apartment living is not for yuppies. As for the heat, I live on the third floor and my apartment is comfortable year round. I simply open my windows when it becomes too hot in the winter, and the fresh air is very healthy for airing out the space. Otherwise it would be too stuffy. I don't mind having to do that, especially when heating the building is so economical because it is very well insulated etc. and included in your rent. So I loved living in this apartment. It is just a ten minute walk to King st and Braddock st. Metro stations, and about another ten minutes to reach downtown DC. Great for young people who want simple comfortable living without too much hassle. Oh also the bathrooms and kitchen are clean and well maintained/new fixtures etc! |
