Apartment Review for Eos-21 - Alexandria, VA

My son & I moved to EOS 21 in Aug '05. I broke the lease in Feb '06 because of the following reasons: the laundry units were removed from our building and it took over 2 mos to replace them. In the meantime, we were told to use the units in other bldgs but usually it was difficult to get in other bldgs because the doors were locked and we weren't given codes to enter. In our bldg (H) the door was rarely secured. The power went out at least once a month. Firemen &/or police were always called in for one reason or other. The Tues before Thanksgiving a policeman rushed into our blding in protective gear, carrying a gun - my son & I & another family hurried into the elevator. A Dominoes delivery man was mugged at gunpoint in the bldng behind us. The deli next to us was held up at gunpoint at 6:30 pm. Several cars were broken into and there were several rapes/attempted rapes in various bldgs. The week prior to moving out a rebarb in the parking lot ripped off my front bumper and the apts refused to pay.
