Apartment Review for Huntington Gateway - Alexandria, VA

I've lived in this apartment complex for almost 5 years now. It's very convenient, the security is generally pretty good. There was an incident a few years ago where someone got into the parking garage at night and broke into I think 10 cars. When I got to my car in the morning to go to work, the police had already been called and were there checking out all the cars. That's the only crime I've experienced at all here. The staff are incredibly friendly for the most part. Sometimes they need to be reminded of what the current rent is after you sign a new lease. I got friendly little "reminder" notes from them twice a month for about 3 months this year after signing a new lease. I had to go to the office each time and explain the situation to them each time, and show them my check duplicates each time. Finally, they stoped sending me the notices...and those are the only real "problems" I've had here. I would highly recommend it if you can afford it.
