Apartment Review for Meadow Woods Apts. - Alexandria, VA

When I first moved in I thought it was in a safe neighborhood, it appeared clean, and the staff seemed friendly. Little did I know that it was as unsafe as living in NE DC, it was filthy (there were dead roaches in the cabinets the day I moved in), and the staff was as incompitent as they come. They mail, or claim they do, your electric bill to you, but I have lived here nearly 1 year and have only received two electric bills leaving me to guess what my bill is and when it's due (never due the same time of the month). They never process your rent or electric payments in a timely fashion therefore you receive insurmountable late fees and if you travel a lot, as I do, you come home to threats of eviction because they just got around to notifying you that your payment was received (more like processed) late. There have been numerous break in's in the area, there is mold growing on the walls by the downstairs apartments, and you can never find parking! I strongly advise anyone renting from Meadow Woods and I look forward to my lease expiring next year!!
