Apartment Review for Mt. Vernon Square Apartments - Alexandria, VA

The apartments seem ok at first and the neighborhood looks good in the sunlight, but once you sign that lease it is all over. This place is the ghetto and management blatantly does not care about any of your concerns. Every two or three weeks they find some reason to be in your apartment. It always the same routine, a note is left on your door two days before the invasion where they state their demands and threaten that refusal or reschedule is not an option, and a fee will be incurred by any who do not comply. This time I have to empty my kitchen and bathroom and find someplace for my pets for four hours on a Thursday morning. Maybe people in the ghetto aren't aware of normal work schedules but anyone who has a 9-5 knows this is a very hard thing to arrange, especially with less then 48 hrs notice. I've only been here 3 months and they've been in the apartment 5 times. The building itself is very noisy. I can hear my neighbors come in the door and walk up the steps. I can hear their tv... intimate moments. I would hate to live anywhere but the top floor with they way my floor creeks. I will not be signing another lease here. I've only been here 3 months, can't wait to get out.
