Rose Hill Disaster

I have lived in DC for two years and have discovered that $1000.00 gets you one crappy apartment. Rosehill is an old community, built sometime in the late 60's. These are garden style units with walkout patios and balconies (at least some of them). If you can live with old appliances, really old windows and doors, a delapidated bathroom, kitchen cabinets that are meant for a small bar, dirty carpet upon move in, then this place is okay for you. I have never been more discouraged to find even a decent apartment in the DC area. Everything is so rediculously priced its sick. But back to the point. Rosehill Apartments is very clever in their way of making the community look good at first glance. But if you really look closer you will notice that it is a run-down joint with a new community center and nice landscaping. The sewer line backed up to my building because of the age of the complex and flood my bathroom. It happened 3 times before they finally got around to digging up the clogged pipe outside. Not to mention the staff in the office has a chip on their shoulder and is snotty when you make requests. In conclusion if you are looking for a nice location this is it, if you want a nice unit with decent appliances and freindly staff, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, TRUST ME. |
