Apartment Review for Town Square At Millbrook - Alexandria, VA

This is a warning to everyone considering renting from the Townsquare: RUN! My husband and I have never been so disappointed and frustrated with a company. Our apartment was falling apart: Dishwasher didn't run properly, Air Condition thermostat did not work, the carpet was filthy upon move in, the wall around our windows were crumbling, the windows leaked, the walls are thin so you hear everything around you, the security gates were consistently broken, the carpet tack strips were bowed, light fixtures were rusted or broken. We called management several times to correct these issues and received no results. We called JGB to voice our frustration and was met with no solutions. We were thrilled when our lease was up. We scheduled our move out inspection and no one showed up from their staff. We were told that it would not be done on the scheduled day because the staff member responsible was not at work. Further, the government had placed over 100 soldiers in this complex for temporary housing while they were on deployment to the DC area (that's why we were there). Recently, the government pulled every one of those soldiers out of the Townsquare and relocated them to a new apartment complex. This was due to poor management among many other issues with the properyty. Maybe now that Townsquare doesn't have that guaranteed government money coming in every month they'll actually do their job.
